Optimax aka Ultralase ruined my healthy eyes almost five yrs ago. I now have poor sight, very dry painful eyes, corneal neuralgia and MGD amongst other things. I lost my sight completely for five days not long after Lasik. It was terrifying , but the pain was by far the worst thing. My corneas were continuously Inflamed and I needed steroid drops for a year. Their after care was dreadful. They wasted time telling me they would get better, and they sent me to their other clinics in London and Birmingham for ‘2nd opinions’ just to waste time. In the end they said they couldn’t help me. I am now with the NHS and have plasma eye drops made from my blood. These have saved me. I also use warm compresses in the day, lubricant drops and moisture goggles to sleep.
